Chassis number ZFA124CS0*05003232, engine number 124CS 4371507. Color dark gray metallic combined with a beige leather interior and black carpet. Registered in the Netherlands as Fiat 124 Spider 2000 USA, the official American designation is Fiat Spider Turbo.
The Fiat Spider Turbo was a special model for the American market and was presented in 1981. According to the "Hagerty Buyers Guide," about 1,200 were built by Fiat and modified by Legend Industries of New York in 1981 and 1982.
The Fiat Spider Turbo was marketed with the help of 1979 Formula One world champion Jody Checkter. He praised the car with the words: The Fiat Spider Turbo is the only convertible sports car with turbo, a car without equal. This beautiful example was imported from the USA in 1994 and has been cherished by its current owner since 2006.
The car was extensively restored and overhauled. The body was restored and newly painted in the original color, the interior was newly upholstered and the engine was overhauled. The restoration was very well done and a logbook is present with dates and mileage.
From new the car has driven 100,453 miles. This rare and highly desirable Fiat Spider Turbo drives and handles perfectly and features, a special original turbo boost gauge in the dash, Cromodora alloy wheels and a Pianola AM radio.
