Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1600 'Fanalone', year 1971 (year of construction 1970, first registration February 3, 1971). Chassis number 818.540.001.101, engine number 818.540.226.4676.
Color dark red with yellow and blue stripes of which there were 100 made this is thus the "last" of those 100 (yellow/ blue of the city of Turin) combined with a black leather interior and black carpet. This Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1600 HF is the holy grail of the Fulvia program.
This is an original so-called "Fanalone" (large headlights) version of which only 1258 examples were built from 1968 to 1970. This special version is most easily distinguished by the large headlights and triangular holes between them and the grille. This original sporty version was built with many aluminum panels, Plexiglas rear window and rear side windows, no bumpers and a minimal interior to save weight.
This Lancia Fulvia has been extensively restored in the past; the car is in sublime top condition! The car shows all the original details and features the special original Ferrero steering wheel with the engraved signature of Sandro Munari (legendary Lancia rally driver).
The body has had a full Waxoil treatment of the hollow spaces. The odometer currently reads 64272 kilometers. Recently the Lancia had an extensive service, carburetors overhauled by FCG Engineering, there also the ignition and carburetors tuned on a roller bench (Dyno test). The engine produces a very healthy 133 (DIN) horsepower.
Recent upgrades/renovations: Four new Michelin tires. Electrical: CCT (computer-controlled) ignition, five new coil/plug wires, new distributor cap, new NGK D8EA spark plugs, new battery, new 12 Volt Pierburg electric fuel pump. Suspension and drivetrain: four new ball joints (upper and lower), new driveshafts with homokinets and new rubber sleeves, new rear wheel bearings.
Brake system: new master cylinder (ATE-Bendix), eight new stainless steel T304 caliper pistons, four new brake hoses (SAE & TUV compliant), new bronze-copper brake lines, four new hand brake pads, eight new disc brake pads (riveted version not glued).
This beautiful and rare Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF 'Fanalone' is completely up to date and in perfect condition. This is a great specimen for the discerning Lancia enthusiast and collector!
